US Indices end lower; General Electric dips by 6%
Benchmark US Indices ended on a lower note in Tuesday Trading session as investors remained concerned over the delays in the corporate tax rate cut. Also, fall in the crude oil Futures added to the fall.
The indices were dragged by the losses incurred by industry giants namely Goldman Sachs Group, Apple Inc, Walt Disney Co. and DowDuPont Inc.
Among the losers were the shares of General Electric, which slumped by 6%, extending losses for the second straight session on Tuesday.
The decline came as the company’s much-awaited transformation plan ceased to realize.
This caused the leading analysts to dump their bullish views.
Here is how the indices fared in the Tuesday’s trading session:
S&P 500 Index fell by 0.23% to 2,578 level
Dow Jones Industrial Average ended trade at 23,409, down by 0.13%
Nasdaq Composite settled at 6,737, down by 0.29%.
