TDSAT asks TRAI to review Jio offers
Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has once again asked Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to review the Reliance Jio’s promotional offers.
Jio subscribers are rushing to buy the prime membership to enjoy the benefits of unlimited data and unlimited voice packs till April 2018.
The Jio users would pay just Rs 303 per month to get the unlimited benefits. Jio would give a tough fight to other telecom players in terms of market share.
In the early days of March, Jio rival, Bharti Airtel had filed a complaint with the telecom regulator accusing Reliance Jio to violate TRAI’s guidelines.
TRAI had asked Jio why its promotional offers should not be called ‘predatory’, Jio replied to the TRAI saying ‘Welcome offer’ differs from ‘Happy New Year offer’.
