NSE records highest ever turnover in F&O on Thursday
As the derivative contracts of June series ended on Thursday, these contracts were the most active contracts on the bourses during Thursday’s trading session. NSE has recorded highest ever turnover in F&O on Thursday. As of June 28, 2017, the data available on NSE shows that the total turnover in F&O segment stood at Rs 7,83,852.04 crore, while number of contracts were 1,00,14,160 crore. However, the total turnover in F&O segment in Thursday’s trade stood at around Rs 14.1 lakh crore.
Nifty June 9500 PE and Nifty June 9600 CE were the most active contracts on the NSE during the closing hour. Sensex was up by 0.3%, Nifty was down by 0.1, Bank Nifty was up by 0.3%, Nifty Jr was up by 2.5%, Nifty Mid-cap was up by 1.5% and BSE Small-cap was up by 3% in the June series of derivative contracts.
Nifty has been trading marginally higher by 11 points at 9,502 level paring its morning gains. Sensex has also come down from its day’s high at 30,839 level up by 5 points.
Nifty futures of July series was trading at 9,504 level with the premium of 18 points in closing hours on Thursday. Nifty July 9500 CE witnessed maximum addition in its open interest by 890,175. Put option of same strike price has also witnessed maximum addition in its open interest by 1,341,150.
Nifty July 9500 CE was trading at Rs 117.7 per share lower by 0.59% and Nifty July 9500 PE was trading at Rs 103.15 per share lower by 6.99% as of 1515 hours on Thursday.
