Market Now: Over 50 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs
More than 50 stocks on the National Stock Exchange hit their fresh 52-week high despite a weak trade in domestic equity markets. The NSE Nifty index was trading 69.70 points down at 10291.60 in the morning trade on Thursday following global cues.
Shares of KSS Ltd, Agro Tech Foods, Harrisons Mala, Surevin BPO Services Ltd., Nucleus Soft, Samtel Color, Jay Shree Tea, MIRC Electronic, McLeod Russel, Zandu Realty, Shankara Building Products Ltd., Sobha Ltd, La Opala RG, Technofab Eng, Apex Frozen Foods Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high during the trade on NSE.
However, stocks such as Golden Tobacco, Glenmark Pharma, Ybrant Digital, Hind Syntex, Shyam Telecom touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 8 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 42 were trading in red around 10.50 am (IST).
In the Nifty 50 index, Bosch, Bajaj Auto, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bharti Infratel, GAIL, Infosys, Wipro, IndusInd Bank, Sun Pharma, Hero MotoCorp, Vedanta Ltd, TCS, Bajaj Finance and Zee Entertainment were among top gainers, while M&M, Kotak Mahindra Bank, UltraTech Cement, RIL, Cipla, Axis Bank, SBI, Hindustan Unilever, Indian Oil Corp, PowerGrid, Adani Ports SEZ, ONGC, HDFC, ITC, Tech Mahindra were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 235.91 points down at 33366.85 at around the same time.
Traders were seen piling up position in automobilies, textiles, infrastructure and petrochemicals sectors, while selling were visible in aquaculture, glass, packaging, rubber and chemical sectors.
