Indian ADRs Dr Reddys closed lower by 2.18%
Indian ADRs closed with mixed sentiments in the trading session of May 24.
In the IT sector, Infosys closed higher by 0.93% at USD 15.2; and Wipro closed higher by 0.86% at USD 10.6.
In the Banking sector, ICICI Bank closed flat at USD 9.38; and HDFC Bank closed higher by 0.76% at USD 84.52.
In the other sectors, Tata Motors closed lower by 2.72% at USD 35.81; and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories closed lower by 2.18% at USD 38.22.
The US stocks ended up slightly higher on Wednesday with the S&P 500 hitting a record high close as minutes of the Federal Reserve’s latest policy showed broad agreement on plans to begin shirking the central bank’s balance sheet and also pointed to a likely rate hike next month, as widely expected. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 75 points to end at 21,012. The S&P 500 index advanced 6 points to finish at 2,404. The Nasdaq Composite Index climbed 24 points to close at 6,163.
Most of the Asian markets are trading in positive territory on Thursday. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng has advanced 181 points and Japan’s Nikkei 225 has risen 95 points, while China’s Shanghai Composite is bucking the trend by shedding 1 point.
